1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site keep you signed in and remember things between visits.
3. Other storage in your browser
The CrewDog app also keeps a few items in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are not used to track you:
- Your sign-in details, so the app stays signed in between visits
- Your choice of light or dark theme
- An anonymous ID and the conversation, if you use the chat without an account
- Which notices you have already seen or dismissed
Clearing your browser’s data for crewdog.ai removes all of them.
4. Third parties
CrewDog does not let advertisers or analytics companies set cookies on crewdog.ai. When you pay for a plan, you pay on Stripe’s checkout page, which sets its own cookies under Stripe’s privacy policy. The services that host and protect CrewDog may set short-lived security cookies, for example to block automated abuse.
5. Your cookie choices
Necessary
Sign you in and keep your account secure. CrewDog can’t work without these.
CrewDog doesn’t use any optional cookies, so there’s nothing to turn on or off.
Browser settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:
- Block all cookies
- Block third-party cookies only
- Delete cookies when you close your browser
- Set preferences for specific websites
Important note
CrewDog’s cookies are all essential. If you block them, you can still read the site, but you cannot sign in.

- Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions
6. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want your online activity tracked. CrewDog does not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for the signal to switch off.
